Grandma C.'s Elderberry Jelly
4 cups elderberry juice
3 cups "Home made" apple juice - see Ball Blue Book of canning & preserving (high pectin)
1 box Surejell
mix and bring to boil.
Add: 1 cup sugar for each cup of juice + 1 extra cup.
Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly 'til it spins a thread (if you don't know what that means, look it up in the Ball Blue Book of canning & preserving - or email us!).
Pour into hot, sterile jars & seal.
Current standards note that all jams & jellies should be canned (water bath) for 10 minutes.
